Our Story

Astute Fire is a fully independent, director owned consultancy business that was formed by people who had a desire to develop a company which focused on fire engineering and, in particular, our creativity and potential for change.

As a fire engineering company we have a desire to break down complex problems and develop appropriate solutions based on an understanding of the relationships between risk, design, and cost.

Our Team

Every member of the team brings a unique set of skills and experience. Core to our success is our flat management structure and culture that welcomes contributions from everyone. Reflective of the ever-changing working environment and to offer greater flexibility our staff work a mixture of home and office-based working.

We recognise that a company will only ever be as good as the people who work for it. To this end, we invest in people’s careers, have a flexible working environment and actively encourage a healthy work-life-balance. This is why we have adopted a standard, 40 days leave allowance across the board, regardless of experience level or time with the company.

We are passionate about exploring and challenging the relationship between building design and risk-to-life safety, especially in an industry that is continually evolving.  

As strong believers in challenging how best to meet the life safety objectives, we are keen to evolve and implement new methods to address complex issues.
